We will never work overseas again!
We’ll never work overseas again!
That was our fear mid 2020 during our Covid sabbatical but thankfully, we are back on the road again meeting up with old and new friends.
The overseas gigs began trickling in last year – Dhaka, Bangladesh, and Tashkent, Uzbekistan gave us a taste of our former road warrior lifestyle thanks to a pair of our good friends librarians extraordinaire Joyce Miller and Brooke Mobley respectively. We were so out of practice that I didn’t even write blog posts about the visits. They still seemed like a fever dream at the time – a relic of some past life that we wouldn’t re-capture. It still felt like, “Well, we had a good run…” territory.
Then boom! 2023-24 it seems we’re back with enthusiasm!
So far this year we’ve been to Lagos, Nigeria and Yangon, Myanmar – Myanmar rolling our country visited odometer to an even 60. On the horizon, we have India, Bulgaria, Latvia, and South Korea not to mention our stateside work. We hereby declare the pandemic OVER!
I promise to get back on the horse and be better with our post gig blog posts – in the meantime here are some pics from our adventures.
