Back in the Saddle
It’s been way too long since we’ve posted an update here.

We got a great welcome at North Union Elementary.
That doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy – we have. I promise to get back on track so consider this an ice breaker to get things rolling again.

Just few new friends.
Since we last spoke Sara and I have been all over the country – from the west coast working in an international school in Silicon Valley to Boston to the tippy tip bottom tip of Texas. We’ve been working with teachers, students – presenting at NCTE and even squeezing in a reading for our adult work here and there.

NCTE – a chance to connect with longtime friends.

What a crew! Rebecca, Georgia, Jerry, Pam, Sara and me. NCTE

Our session was well received and we unloaded a bunch of orange books.
Most exciting though is a new resource we are working on specially aimed at English language learners. Our years on the international circuit have honed our classroom work to be friendly to English learners without leaving the native speakers behind.

Classroom dinner with some of the teachers piloting our new EAL (English as an Additional Language) resource.
This project has been all encompassing – we’re talking over 80 individual lessons across three levels of English proficiency. The program has been test driven in Los Fresnos, Texas to rave reviews.

And here’s a board meeting of 12 Literary Arts – a great organization in Cleveland that i am proud to be a part of.
That’s all I can say right now but – I promise to be back with the blog posts now that we have a little breathing room.
